WHO WE ARE

XRC Ventures is a multi-strategy venture fund that invests at the intersection of consumer behavior and technology, a $2 trillion market that has been increasingly overlooked by the VC community. Since 2016, XRC has invested in over 140 Pre-Seed through Series A startups across three distinct fund strategies - Accelerator Fund, Opportunity Fund, and Brand Capital Fund.

OUR EVOLUTION

XRC Ventures has gone through numerous iterations since our inception as the XRC Labs accelerator in 2015. From the onset, we brought together a retail and consumer ecosystem of financial leaders, retailers, brands and founders to inform and accelerate the growth of innovative startups. Through those relationships and our over 140 companies invested, XRC Ventures has grown in the number of funds and AUM.

We migrated from a traditional accelerator, which is often characterized as spray-and-pray or fund-and-forget, to a pre-seed investing model that identifies and delivers the bespoke services needed to ensure that the startups achieve their next round of funding effortlessly.

We are actively investing in experienced talent to grow the fund into our next phase. We have learned many lessons, and our most important is that human capital is the most valuable asset. WHO YOU ARE

XRC Ventures is hiring an experienced professional to lead fund marketing efforts and manage external communications and platform development. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in building and executing successful marketing campaigns. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills, strong writing abilities, and a keen eye for detail. An interest in both learning, and creating immediate value will be important. This position will report to the Founding Partner, Pano Anthos.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

1. Email Marketing and Content

• Build and manage marketing calendar, coordinating email and social campaigns to reach key stakeholders, with communications split roughly across:
  • (35%) Existing and prospective limited partners (LPs)
  • (10%) Existing and prospective corporate partners
  • (20%) Portfolio companies and Entrepreneurs
  • (10%) Mentors and advisors
  • (25%) VCs
• Develop, deploy, track, and report on key metrics from campaigns (ie: opens, clicks, downloads, etc.).
• Partner with other departments to produce XRC newsletters and investor updates.
• Ensure XRC website is up-to-date with core investment content.

1. Ecosystem Platform Support

• Provide meaningful and leading edge content to our ecosystem by soliciting and managing content from investment partners and the broader network.
• Generate regular engagement with corporate partners and ecosystem (mentors and founders) through in-person (dinners, meetings at conferences, etc.) and virtual meetings.
• Organize and run Founders Summit, XRC’s annual conference for its portfolio company leaders to absorb relevant content, engage with industry leaders, and network across the portfolio.

1. CRM Platform Maintenance

• Own XRC’s internal CRM platform.
• Maintain and export distribution lists for email communications and events.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 4-6 years of communications experience, at an agency, fund, or startup is a plus
• A strong team player with a passion for startups, retail, and technology
• Resourceful, takes ownership of projects and enjoys figuring things out on their own
• Ability to multitask and work with multiple teams on multiple projects
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail and ability to deliver against tight deadlines
• Proven track record in developing, managing, and executing comprehensive marketing strategies
• Exceptional writing skills
• Ability to create high quality content (emails, blog posts, articles) that resonates with the target audience
• Familiarity with marketing, measurement & communication tools like Mixmax, Mailchimp, Squarespace, Eventbrite, Canva, Slack, LinkedIn, Instagram & Twitter
• Familiarity with Affinity CRM or similar
• Project and event management experience is a plus

New York City based role - expected to work out of NYC office 3 days/week (Tuesday through Thursday).

Salary range is $120,000 to $140,000 based on experience and track record.
