Digital Preparation Technician

Job Summary

This role will be responsible for designing 3D Orthodontic Treatments using OrthoFX dental design software from digitally scanned files of patients from our customers (Orthodontists and GP Dentists). The designer is responsible for planning and coordinating the treatment planning process to guarantee delivery of the Treatment set up for the customers on time.

You will work with our design operations, digital product, and customer-facing teams to enhance our processes and workflows. You will be a key component in driving our design team and product to the next level.

Requirements

  • Understanding orthodontic terms, dental anatomies, IPR, and auxiliary techniques.
  • Ability to work in US hours to align with OrthoFX’s operational needs.
  • Professional expertise, able to independently complete the design of complex cases.
  • Openness to feedback and continuous learning to enhance treatment plan designs.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Self-learner.
  • Ability to work in Dynamic constant changing environment.
  • Proactive.
  • Good knowledge of basic computer operations and Microsoft Office tools. Experience with CAD-CAM or 3D software is an advantage.
  • Logical thinking, results and quality oriented: able to work under pressure to achieve goals.
  • Agility to solve problems.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in clear aligner treatment planning or orthodontic design.

Responsibilities

  • Treatment plan setup configuration including file import, repair, trimming, basing, and tooth segmentation.
  • Create high-quality digital treatment plan that will provide the clinical effect expected by our customers, follow prescriptions and instructions received from providers. Have effective clinical communication on treatment planning with Drs via company software and platform.
  • Optimize our processes for efficiency by leveraging new and existing workflows and technologies.
  • Plan and coordinate translation process to guarantee delivery of the Treatment set up for the customers.
  • Update and complete cases that have been assigned by the team lead/specialist or supervisor, such as complaint follow ups, reassigned cases and any case requiring special assistance
  • Update and inform about incorrect or outdated customer's and patient's information, found on any of the customer databases.
  • Propose ideas for procedures and processes to promote improved service and customer satisfaction and overall department improvements.
  • Utilize a custom computer software program in the development and design of the patient’s orthodontic treatment.
  • Adheres to department documented MCIs, SOPs, and policies and procedures for case design.
  • Adherence to the certified operator training program which ensures quality case designs for the orthodontic customer.
  • May participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for manufacturing activities; recommend improvements for policies and procedures.
  • Follow special instructions and patient information according to the prescription form and case product.
  • Meet the KPI’S.
