Overview
We are seeking a Product Manager to establish and lead product management for our telehealth platform as we scale. This role is responsible for assessing, defining, and prioritizing value-added product and service capabilities that support clinicians, patients, partners/alliances, and customers while also balancing regulatory, technical, and operational considerations in a lean organization.
About the Role
The Product Manager will collaborate closely across executive, operations, and engineering teams to drive scalable, impactful solutions that deliver value for our team and growing customer base. Success in this role requires the ability to translate business needs into clear product decisions with an emphasis on healthcare-focused workflows and compliance, ROI to the different stakeholders in the telehealth operations landscape, and flex your product skills between management and marketing. You’ll serve as a key driver of cross-functional alignment, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality execution of product roadmaps.
Reporting directly to the P/COO, this fully remote role is ideal for a highly motivated, hands-on product leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy
- Organize and manage product vision with the CEO/Founder, President/COO, CTO, and other key team members internally including development of problem statements, and success metrics for MDI’s telehealth platform and service offerings.
- Identify and prioritize value-added features that address the distinct needs of enterprise, SMB, and startup partners, while maintaining a cohesive platform strategy.
- Collaborate with the CEO and CTO to translate strategic goals into a clear, prioritized ‘living and breathing’ product roadmap that balances near-term wins with long-term platform scalability.
- Define and communicate product investment boundaries by customer tier, ensuring one-off requests do not compromise platform integrity, delivery velocity, or strategic focus.
- Be involved in the company’s first product and customer advisory board (“Customer Council”), capturing and tracking internal and external feedback on product strategy and roadmap execution, as well as proper resourcing and communication to key stakeholders.
- Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual roadmap communications to various internal and external stakeholders while working closely with CTO, engineering team, and other executive team members.
2. Engineering Collaboration
- Work closely with the CTO and engineering team to define requirements, establish priorities, clarify scope and expected value, ensure solutions are technically feasible and scalable, and aligned with overarching company objectives.
- Write clear product briefs, requirements and acceptance criteria that translate complex needs into actionable work, realistic timelines, and properly scoped resources.
- Support delivery through collaboration, iteration, and continuous feedback ensuring outcomes align with intended value.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including market research, user stories, technical specifications, and release notes in partnership with the engineering team.
- Establish lightweight product management processes, artifacts, and decision frameworks appropriate for a growing organization.
- Develop and collaborate on structured release cadence and ensure full alignment with rest of engineering team, including QA and individuals internally that perform operational testing.
3. Customer and Market Insights
- Develop a deep understanding of users across clinicians, internal users, and customer segments by gathering qualitative and quantitative insights.
- Monitor market trends, competitive offerings, and evolving telehealth expectations to inform product decisions.
- Develop a deep understanding of users and buyers across enterprise, SMB, and startup partner segments, including differences in buying cycles, implementation needs, and success metrics.
- Partner with the CTO and Marketing to establish and lead a Customer Council, creating a structured forum to solicit feedback across customer segments, analyze inputs, and translate validated insights into roadmap priorities and product decisions.
4. Product Marketing and Enablement
- Partner with Marketing to articulate clear product value propositions and messaging for enterprise, SMB, and startup partners, ensuring differentiation is grounded in real customer needs and product capabilities.
- Translate product roadmap, features, and releases into customer-ready narratives, including positioning, use cases, and “why it matters” messaging.
- Support go-to-market efforts by enabling internal teams (Sales, Customer Success, Partnerships) with product context, launch materials, and competitive insights.
- Ensure customer and market feedback informs both product decisions and external messaging, maintaining alignment between what is built, how it is sold, and how value is realized.
- Create product marketing management and communication planning with go-to-market team members for proper release announcements, “feature flag” testing, and full releases.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in telehealth, health tech, or highly regulated SaaS environments.
- Proven ability to define product value and influence roadmaps in organizations with strong founder or clinical leadership.
- Experience working closely with founders, executives, engineering leaders and technical teams to deliver complex platform products and translate the value to non-technical teams and varied audiences (internal, prospect, customer, etc.)
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and launching successful software products. Strong program and project management discipline.
- Motivated by the opportunity to build processes, documentation, and fledgling infrastructure in a fast-growing, scaling organization.
- Strong business and product judgment, with comfort navigating ambiguity and managing competing priorities.
- Adept at collaborating across the organization to complement and optimize peer strengths in technology, marketing, and clinical domains.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for clinical, technical, end user and executive audiences to influence and drive outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize inputs from various domains into actionable product / project plans and manage to a schedule.
